Hovey & Harrison carries fresh Colorado produce throughout the year.

Buying local can be a challenge in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. We are here to help you do this, while enlivening your taste buds, diversifying your menu, and encouraging the exploration of surrounding regions. Eating locally also means greater nutritional value will be retained in the produce, as it’s been picked ripe and has not had the chance to loose much nutrition in transportation. Lastly, eating locally is an investment in the future. Supporting local farms today means they will be there tomorrow and hopefully for years to come. This is important for food security, especially as our current reliance on fossil fuels increases to keep up with demands to produce, package, distribute and store foods.

Hovey & Harrison offers access to locally produced good food, helping the Vail Valley take advantage of all the wonderful harvests Colorado provides during the warmer growing months. Stop by to see what is growing on in Colorado!

HOW IT WORKS

where do we get all this stuff?

The farms Hovey & Harrison works with are local and small. Farmers are able to make a living as H&H takes care of the marketing, logistics and customer relations.

Hovey & Harrison works closely with Palisade farmers so we get the first tomatoes of the season, the ripest hand-picked peaches, and heirloom sweet corn late into the fall.

Eating local vegetables is the healthiest and most environmentally friendly way to nourish the body.
